Corporate Workplace Skills Training

The skills that decide whether technical work lands. Ten short courses on writing a report an executive will actually read, running a meeting that ends in a decision, handling a client who is unhappy, resolving conflict before it becomes a resignation, and working safely on site.

These are deliberately the shortest programs in the catalogue — mostly four to six hours, none longer than a day. That is a judgement about how they get bought: nobody clears a fortnight for communication training, but a team lead will protect an afternoon. Effective Technical Communication is the most requested course here by a wide margin, which tells you something about where technical work most often fails.

Health & Safety for IT/Telecom Teams is free and should be treated as a baseline rather than a course. Technical teams work at height, in ceiling spaces, in comms rooms and beside live equipment, and WHS obligations do not soften because the job title says engineer.

Common questions

Are these too basic for experienced engineers?

They are short, not shallow. The communication course assumes you already understand the subject matter and that the difficulty is conveying it to somebody who does not — which is a harder problem than it looks and is rarely taught anywhere.

Can we run one as a team session?

Yes, and most clients do. A one-day workshop delivered in-house for a team of twelve is the commonest booking in this category.

Does the WHS course meet our induction requirement?

It covers the general obligations and the hazards specific to IT and telecom work. Whether it satisfies a particular site induction requirement is a question for whoever owns that requirement — we will not claim it does.
